Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Between, an iOS application created by Dzmitry Bosak. By downloading, accessing, or using Between, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

Apple App Store Terms

These Terms are concluded between you and Dzmitry Bosak only, and not with Apple Inc. or any of its subsidiaries ("Apple"). Dzmitry Bosak, not Apple, is solely responsible for Between and its content. These Terms do not alter or conflict with the usage rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Between on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Between may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where Apple permits this.

Dzmitry Bosak is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Between to the extent required by applicable law or expressly offered in these Terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Between.

To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed below, Dzmitry Bosak is solely responsible for that warranty. If Between fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, paid for Between. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Between; Dzmitry Bosak is solely responsible for any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from a failure to conform to an applicable warranty.

Dzmitry Bosak, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to Between or your possession or use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that Between does not comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar laws.

If a third party claims that Between or your possession or use of Between infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights, Dzmitry Bosak, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Between, including the terms of your wireless data-service provider.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Description of the Service

Between is a reflection and thought-organization app. It helps you think through personal situations by organizing your input, asking clarifying questions, and showing AI-generated reflections, analysis, possible directions, Magic responses, reasons, and follow-up questions.

Between does not make decisions for you. You remain responsible for your choices, actions, and consequences.

Any output labeled or displayed as a "recommendation," "choice," "reason," "analysis," "Magic response," or similar term is a non-binding reflection aid only. It is not an instruction, directive, determination, professional opinion, or statement of what you should do. Between does not decide what is best for you and does not replace your independent judgment.

Between does not currently include user accounts, authentication, advertising, or cloud synchronization for saved decision history. Decision history is stored locally on your device when you choose to save it. AI-assisted features require backend processing and may use an external AI provider.

No Professional, Emergency, or Crisis Advice

Between is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, insurance, real estate, immigration, employment, education, family, marital, safety-planning, emergency, crisis, or other regulated professional advice. It is not therapy, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, legal representation, financial planning, professional coaching, or a substitute for qualified professional judgment.

No doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, advisor-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship is created by your use of Between.

If your situation involves health, safety, self-harm, suicide, harm to others, violence, abuse, coercion, exploitation, legal rights, finances, employment, or another serious matter, seek help from qualified professionals or appropriate emergency services.

Between is not an emergency, crisis-response, suicide-prevention, abuse-reporting, violence-prevention, or safety-monitoring service. Between does not monitor your situation, detect emergencies, contact emergency services, contact trusted persons, or provide real-time crisis intervention. If you may harm yourself or others, are in danger, are experiencing abuse or violence, or need urgent help, stop using the app and contact local emergency services, a crisis hotline, law enforcement, or a qualified professional immediately.

AI-Generated Content

Between uses AI processing to generate responses based on the situations, answers, and optional personalization text you provide. AI-generated content is generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inappropriate for your circumstances, biased, misleading, internally inconsistent, or otherwise unsuitable. AI systems may generate plausible-sounding information that is not true and may omit important facts, risks, alternatives, or context.

Use Between as a reflection aid only. Do not rely on Between as the sole basis for important personal, medical, psychological, legal, financial, safety-related, employment-related, or professional decisions.

Between does not verify your input, investigate facts, check legal or professional requirements, or guarantee that any output is accurate, complete, safe, lawful, suitable, or appropriate for your circumstances.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The information you enter into Between.
• Ensuring you have the right to submit that information.
• Reviewing and evaluating AI-generated responses before relying on them.
• Making your own decisions and deciding whether, when, or how to act.
• Obtaining qualified professional advice where appropriate.
• Maintaining the security of your device.
• Ensuring your use of Between is lawful and appropriate for your circumstances.

Do not enter information that you are not authorized to share or that you do not want processed by the Between backend and an external AI provider.

You agree that use of Between does not transfer responsibility for your decisions or their consequences to Dzmitry Bosak.

Data Processing and Privacy

By using AI-assisted features, you understand that your submitted situation, answers to clarifying questions, optional personalization text, installation identifier, request metadata, and usage/subscription status may be sent to the Between backend. The backend may send prompt text to DeepSeek or another configured AI provider to generate responses.

Saved decision history is stored locally on your device when you choose to save it. The app has no user accounts or authentication in the current implementation.

Subscriptions, Purchases, and Usage Limits

Between may offer premium subscriptions or expanded access through Apple's App Store. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, trial eligibility, and subscription management are governed by Apple's App Store rules and the terms shown at purchase time.

Apple processes payments. Between does not process payments directly and does not receive your full payment card number, bank account details, or other full payment information.

RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status, offerings, purchases, restores, and entitlement access. The backend may also receive RevenueCat webhook events and use subscription status to determine free or unlimited access.

The app and backend may enforce free usage limits, fair-use limits for paid access, rate limits, concurrent request limits, payload limits, and other reliability or abuse-prevention controls. These limits may change over time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Between to violate laws or the rights of others.
• Submit content you do not have the right to submit.
• Use Between to generate unlawful, harmful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, or infringing content.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, subscriptions, security controls, rate limits, backend protections, or entitlement checks.
• Interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or misuse the app, backend, APIs, or third-party services, except where permitted by law.
• Use Between in a way that could harm the app, backend, other users, third-party providers, or service availability.

Notifications

If enabled, Between may schedule optional local notifications such as reflection reminders. You can control notification permissions through iOS Settings and, where available, notification preferences in the app.

Intellectual Property

Between, including its design, features, text, graphics, software, and other content, is owned by Dzmitry Bosak or licensed for use in the app and is protected by intellectual property laws.

The license granted under the Apple App Store Terms is the complete license for your use of Between.

You remain responsible for the content you enter into the app. AI-generated responses are provided for your personal use, subject to these Terms and any applicable third-party service terms.

Availability and Changes

Between may be changed, interrupted, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Backend, AI provider, Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, network, device, or operating system issues may affect availability or functionality.

Features, subscriptions, pricing, limits, and third-party integrations may change over time.

Between may depend on third-party platforms, networks, hosting providers, analytics providers, payment systems, subscription systems, AI providers, app stores, and operating systems that we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party failures, delays, outages, policy changes, security incidents, data practices, or service changes, except to the extent required by law.

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or hosting failures, outages of third-party services, government actions, legal restrictions, or other force majeure events.

Termination or Access Limitation

You may stop using Between at any time. You may delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data according to iOS behavior.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the app, backend, AI features, or premium features if we believe you violated these Terms, misused the app or backend, attempted to bypass limits or subscriptions, or created legal, security, abuse, or operational risk.

Termination or app deletion does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Disclaimer

Between is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Between will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, safe, lawful, or suitable for your circumstances.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dzmitry Bosak will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Between.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dzmitry Bosak will not be liable for losses or harm arising from decisions you make before, during, or after using Between, including financial losses, business losses, investment outcomes, relationship or family consequences, marriage or divorce decisions, education, employment, relocation, healthcare, psychological or emotional consequences, emotional distress, missed opportunities, reputational harm, or reliance on incomplete, inaccurate, unsuitable, or unavailable AI-generated output.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Between or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription during the twelve months before the claim arose, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any warranty, liability, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or any non-waivable consumer protection, data protection, or statutory rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dzmitry Bosak from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of Between, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or content you submit without the required rights or permissions. This indemnity does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable consumer law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Belarus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the laws of your country, state, or region that these Terms do not override.

Severability, Assignment, and Entire Agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, or operation of law, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown by Apple or in the app, are the entire agreement between you and Dzmitry Bosak regarding Between and replace any prior or contemporaneous understandings about the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Between after updated Terms become available means you accept the revised Terms.
